Liberal - because I seek facts and apply reason, shunning the filters of political bias and emotional bigotry.

To you Conservatives - I am NOT a Leftist!! There is a huge difference between a Liberal and a Leftist. For example, true Liberals believe in the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Our goal is greater personal freedom, not the ever-greater restrictions on freedom desired by Leftist Progressives.

I am a centrist, in the middle, an American first before any political party, with the burning heart of a true patriot. Why the middle? Because the both major parties have betrayed the American people. It may be Bush's war, but most of the democrats voted for it. All either side cares about is power, getting it or keeping it, and they do not care about the American people. Example: the gulf coast! Example: our arrogant foreign policy. Example: 2,600 dead citizen sent to an illegal and immoral war, Example: a president who breaks the law. This all cannot exist if unless at least some democrats go along with it. I am right now tentatively supporting Feingold for President, because he has the guts to tell the truth. If it is Hillary versus McCain, I will vote Constitution Party! WHY? Because that party is for following the Constitution, t5he law of the land, period! They don't mess around with all of that political garbage, they just follow the law as written. Amen!

I honestly am not sure how to define myself politically. I mean, I think Bush is an idiot. I'm pro choice, but, I also belive in the NRA and in the death penalty, I do belive in God, but I realize that abortion is sometimes necessary, especially if the baby is going to come out deformed or diseased, I think it is more merciful, than forcing a child to live just to suffer. I belive that prayer should be allowed in school. I also belive that one nation under God should stay in our pledge of allegiance. I usually vote democatic or independent, so I guess I'm a liberal.

Eclectic.
Some people would define me as ultra conservative because I am a Christian, but to break apart those stereotypes....
I consider myself a moderate. I'm a teacher and as such take a very different point of view than most conservatives. I'm also pro -union which puts me at odds with my republican friends. I'm hoping that Lieberman runs for President, if not, McCain will do.

I try not to. I am a problem solver, and the political party system is a problem in itself.
Call me a Localist, as opposed to a Corporatist. All the major parties are whores to corporate money, working together to tell the individual how to conform to their ways of exploitation, rather than truly working to protect the rights of the individual to think and act locally. Thomas Jefferson once said that the one thing bad government truly fears is a country where 30% of the people are self-sufficient.

I am undeclared.

Why? Because I'm tired of the BS on both sides.

I am a gay man, and a PhD student, so I have been much immersed in "liberals" - and I will tell you, THEIR BS is the WORST. I have never met more self-righteous and bitter people than "liberals." They are the thought and speech police these days.

The "conservatives" I can tolerate more, because I can oftentimes get them to accept me (to a point) if I appeal to them on libertarian grounds. They may not "agree" with me being a homo and all that, but I find more points of agreement on issues of basic liberties and the American Constitution much more than I find with with "liberals."

"Conservatives" are just goofy; "liberals" leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Love, Jack.

I define your politics as frigid, closed, old, ideological, simple minded and doctoral. That is the world that you want. It is named a democracy but it is in fact a dictatorship that wants to protect the people from themselves with force if Lying, Stealing and Cheating don't work.
Or Willie Horton ads, the swift boat crew for the big lie , the Rove Brother, Lee Atwater, Wolfowitz, Franks, Myer's, and Feith should all win awards for being the dumbest knuckle heads in the world.
Worse than the forenamed bunch of course is Rummy, Cheney, and Bushy. They should be impeached although I do not know if that would be a good idea because of the outcomes.
Congratulations Republicans, your have your self and Era, The Era of the Neocons.

I am a good moderate liberal or, if i could have my moderate republican party back, I might take it???????? As a Christian, I am sick of this administration hiding behind the guise of Christianity when Jesus speaks more about taking care of the poor and needy and PEACE than any other subjects......we have cut back on all our desperately needed social programs. The gap between the rich and poor is growing too rapidly.....therefore, I will stay with the dems unless something dramatic happens.

Independent.
I have unique view and no party out there shares ALL of them or even a MAJORITY of them.
However i am registered to vote as Democrat -- for very simple reason. I live in Philadelphia and most of the Philadelphia political power is REALLY decided in democratic primaries. And i did not wish to disenfranchise myself by registering something else.

I love America, love tradition, believe in the harsh punishments for crimes such as molestation, and murder. I also want lower taxes, a stronger Army, and less regs. on business. I agree with the War on Terror and support our troops. I don't agree with the UNs policy most of the time, and think that the ACLU is anti-American, as well as Amnesty International.

Therefore, I am a Conservative.
