I am using Firefox as my Internet browser, but I cannot download anything; however, I can do it with Internet Explorer.

Firefox will not allow you to run a program from the web, it makes you save the file to the hard drive first. Then you need to run the file from the drive. If that doesn't work try right clicking on the link and choose "Save Link As.." This will allow you to save the file straight to the drive.

Nothing at all? That's strange. Try checking your settings. Do this:
Open up FireFox, go to Tools > Options > Downloads.
If that doesn't work, maybe the pop-up blocker is preventing the download dialogue. Do this to fix that: Tools > Options > Content.

well it might just be some settings you need to change. I have firefox, and all I have to do is click on the download and it starts in a seperate window and tells you the progress and what not. but firefox is definately better than IE
