Originally they were used as the burial sites for the pharoahs, with the types of riches that were found in Tut's tomb. Unfortunately, they were all looted in ancient times, possibly even by the people who built them, since they would have known all the secret passages. The Egyptians would have originally included everything the pharoah would need in his next life, from food and drinks to statues of servants, jewelry, makeup, and all the comforts of home. There have even been full sized boats found buried outside the pyramids for his use. They would also have included the Book of the Dead, which served as a "cheat sheet" on how to answer the questions the gods would have asked him so he could make it to the next life. Some pyramids later had the entire text written on the walls.

Nowadays, nothing. The pyramids were robbed by looters long, long ago. But originally they were the tombs of kings. The king's body would be buried there. The Egyptians believed that this life was just a preparation for the afterlife, so they put all their energy into preparing for the afterlife. They would save up all their treasures and put them in their tomb, as they believed that whatever they put in the tomb, they would be able to use in the afterlife.

I propose that the triangle is a powerful spiritual force, in that
our reality is really affected by a center. That force, starting in the center, and taking the triangular shape as it spreads out into
reality. Therefore the significance of the 3 and pyramid forces.

They were meant as a resting place on the way to the afterlife. They'd have anything that the Pharaoh might need. Treasure, Food, Furniture, I've even seen boats buried with the body.
