I think many of them, deep down, know He exists. (After all, it does take more "faith" to believe in nothing than to believe in God.) But they just prefer to put their middle finger into His eye anyhow.
It saddens me. I just hope that they eventually go beyond knowing He exists into knowing that He loves them, even when they insult His Name.

Who exactly are you referring to? All liberals are not "godless". I am a very liberal liberal--verging on radical--and I'm a Christian. And it's precisely because I am a Christian that I am a liberal!
And, for those who don't believe He exists, why not take the Lord's name in vain? They aren't afraid of Hell, right?
And, please, don't try to make it sound like conservatives don't cuss and use God's name in ways other than praying.....some of the most ear-burning, hell-raising, name-in-vain taking cussing I've EVER heard came from some conservative friends of mine. (Oh, yes, I DO have conservative friends--my liberal beliefs allow me to have any friends I want.)

Why do people like you claim to believe in God but think liberals are godless? God is God of all, believed in or not.

The Bible says "thou shalt not use the name of the Lord in vain"
but if we don't believe it, what better way of showing our opinions than by doing exactly the opposite?
And seriously dude, the election was 2 years ago. It's okay to move on. John Kerry is no longer an important aspect of your meaningless life. It won't make you less of a Conservative **** if you stop worrying about him.

It's implanted in our minds that God is real. It can only be ignored and misunderstood to a point that you thnk it's wrong undoubtably despite the fact you know he is there somewhere.
A liberal's mind cannot be fully understood beyond the fact that they want whatever makes THEM happy.
