It depends on the state the company is doing business in, each state has rules that apply to the training of security officers.

I wouldn't do business with a company that does not meet your needs. and there also the possibility that you are getting exactly what you paid for.

You also have to responsibility to train them in what kind of security measures they are to do for your company. You need to write out a security policy for you company. Then train the officers to follow it.

Depends on which company you go with. You get what you pay for. I've come across security guards who are idiots, and I've found some that are too smart to be doing what they are doing.
