It is funny to listen to Chuck Schumer huff and puff about the oil companies and all the profits they are making. New York State has the highest gas taxes anywhere in the country. It is based on the dollar sales not gallons. As such right now in New York the gas tax is .62 cents a gallon. Add the .18 cents federal tax and you have .80 cents a gallon tax. That is more than triple the oil companies profits. Hey Chuckie if you want to help your home state why not proposing lowering the gas tax. Pathetic limosene liberals. Everytime I see Schumer on TV I feel like taking a shower afterwards.

Think you pay too much for gas? The Democrats LOVE France, and they pay $5.54/gal in USD.

I usually don't use the Communist News Network in my links, but there are a few exceptions.

John, you are on a roll.

Again, this is another story of a Dem trying to make political hay. Politicians and elected officials don't set gas prices or really can't influence them. It is set by free market supply and demand. I do believe oil companies, "fiddle" with pricing, but they are taking a little bit off the top, it is a small percentage. Schumer is a typical Socialist, he wants a bigger gvt involvement in our lives, but even Chucky (who looks like a vampire I may add), can't be that stupid, or can he.
If the gvt lowered taxes prices would go way down, right. Plus the liberal dems forced oil companies to make different types of gasoline for some stupid charade to cut down on emmissions. That has a lot to do with gas prices, that and taxes Morons!

Even conservative republicans are not happy as to how money from US Companies is helping the People's Republic of China upgrade their military. Hugo Chavez of Venezuela is making deals undermining the USA and it does not matter which affiliation you belong. The People's Republic of China opposed us in the Korean Conflict and VietNam.

Isn't it funny how you have forgotten about the $100 gas rebate by the gass guzzling conservative?

If we could convert all the gas and hot air coming from Chucky and his ilk into a usable form of energy, we'd have no "energy crisis" and the libs could even be worry free of having ANWR drilled.
