What about other types of pride?

I mean like white pride? and straight pride? Why does it always have to be proud to be a minority group in society today? Why cant we be proud to be the majority and not be called racists?

Good question. I'll try not to rant. Because minorites have to have "special attention' because they are the 'lesser' What really pisses me off is People think because they are borna certain color, they should be proud of it. No, thats called luck! You should be proud of what your race has acomplished. Be proud of what MLK did, be proud of what George Washington did. I don't celebrate St. Patty's Day. Know why? Cause I'm proud to be Irish EVERYDAY! Everyone is a racist includiong the government, who I may add puts these people into groups and call the minorty but then says that segration is illegal. I hate politcal correctness.

Thats an exellent question...one which i'm not sure there is a good answer for. You can be white and pround. you can be straight and proud...but you didnt have to work for the respect that you get b/c of it. Blacks, asians, gays, women, and every other minority group had to work hard and face a lot of discrimination before the gained respect and in some regard they still are trying to gain it.

i can't say for sure b/c i'm not a minority group, but i think they see it as bragging when majority groups "flaunt" their pride around.

b/c if u say WHITE PRIDE ppl are gunna assume u only like white ppl coz tha KKK use to say it like crazy (white power) ....straight up racism right there. its true. at skool if someone says white pride tha mexicans get all offended.
i guess minorities only show real pride b/c they absolutly LOVE who they r nd their homeland. im not sayin americans don't but americans don't really show pride like other countries. unless u're a minorty then that's different. i hope i wasn't confusin. hahah
