Really, you should learn to do your own homework.

Since someone has already told you the answer, here is how you can get it.

1 mile in 8 minutes.
120 minutes in 2 hours.
120 divided by 8 = 15 miles

If the average person can run 1 mile in 8 minutes, in a hour they can run 7 1/2 miles. So, if they run 2 hours that means 15 miles. The answer is 15 miles.

this is a very stupid question, most people that ran a mile in 8 minutes would not be able to run any more until they rested an hour or two, but lets play math, not the real world (the problem said "at this rate, how many"

come on, think about this

1 mile in 8 minutes
how far in 2 hours (thats 120 minutes right)

so, how many miles in one minute?
easy, 1/8 of a mile, right?

1/8 of a mile every minute, so obviously in 120 minutes
120*1/8=15

15 miles

easy right?
go do the rest of them
math is power

16 miles
2 hours = 120 minutes
1mile in 8 minutes : x miles in 120 minutes
1) multiply 8 by x
2) multiply 1 by 120

8(X) = 120
solve for x
120 divided by 8 =16

It should be 15 miles.

Basically, 2 hours is 120 minutes. So divide 120 by 8 to find how many miles are possible.

Hope it helps.

(1 mile/8 minutes) x (60 minutes/hour) x 2 hours =
(1 x 60 x 2) / 8 miles (after cancelling out minutes and hours just like you cancel out numbers) =
120/8 miles =
15 miles

Well that's a stupid question cuz mathematically it's 15 miles. Almost no one can make it one mile let alone 15. If you run a mile in 8 minutes, you sure as hell ain't going to hold that pace for 14 more miles!

How many minutes in an hour? How many sets of 8 minutes in 1 hour. Answer = # of sets of 8 minutes in 1 hour * 1 mile OR
1 mile / 8 minutes * 60 minutes / 1 hour.
