Yes we are too obsessed with the celebrities, i don't care who got divorced and don't feel like hearing it for 3 yrs. I don't care who got arrested for drugs, they do not post 'regular" people's divorces and arrests (unless it is serious) so why keep telling us about the celebrities. I think they would appreciate some of the things in their personal lives not to be told to the public, it is as if the publicity is trying to punish them for becoming a celebrity. Like all the accusations about so and so cheating when the people know it isn't true, but they still try and break people up. I think the personal news should stay personal and they can stick to telling us about their upcoming movies and shows. We do not need to know about their personal lives!!

Oh????? Ya think ??? Maybe ???
When Mel Gibson's antics get days and days of front page reporting, but the UN Human Rights Report that totally slams the US and the cheney/bush regime for literally 1000's of human rights violations both at home and abroad gets about 42 words on the inside of the back page.
Yeah ... this culture is so distorted!!!

Maybe, then again, people have got to look up to someone other than their parents and everyone else! Though, I think the people that try to look like their favorite celebrity and act like them are over doing it! Also the people who go on about these very new actors like Zac Efron who ain't all that good yet and the people that are interested as Johnny Depp said who eats, sleeps or goes to the bathroom! I really don't think its any of their business! I myself only like maybe 20 celebs, those are the ones I stick to and that's it, however I don't try to look like them cause all of'em are guys and uh I don't wanna know what's going on 24/7 with'em I mean I really don't wanna know when they go to the bathroom or anything! I don't sit and talk about gossip about Johnny! I mean, I usually defend him if someone says something mean about him or if they ask questions like "Do you think Johnny Depp is cute?" However, I personally don't care who he's with, he's got a wife, that made him happy and I know I dream of bieng with him but, it'll never happen so I have to learn how to deal, which I have, but the other people have to learn, its not just about celebs in this world, I mean they are pretty normal humans like us!

our media so movie star-obsessed becasue our way of existence is. it is unlucky. If the standard public wasn't attracted to Celebrities then the media would concentration on something else. in view that we (not me) are attracted to celebrities the media comments it and makes money. all of it comes all the way down to grant and demand economics. We call for and they supply and in go back they make money and we get our information. FYI. i in my view imagine celebrities at the on the spot are not something more effective than monkeys in a circus. they're there to entertain me. type of ways Jokers were round to entertain kings and queens. the in ordinary words element is they stay a existence type i am going to in no way see? Our entertainers stay extra constructive than us? this is not precise. i don't believe of.

Yes, it is a sad state of affairs. I dont watch much TV other than Rescue Me and The Shield, and sometimes reruns of my favorite sitcoms. But this american idol thing and all these reality shows seen to act like brain leeches on most people, its scary. When you have Paris Hilton as a "rolemodel" to younger girls you know the end is near. But even most adults are into these new shows and it makes me wonder whats really going on. Get a life people!

Yes. They're all overrated. But the one good thing about seeing them in the news is that it takes some of the dreariness of the day's REAL news away.

Now this is a no brainer. Of course people are too obsessed with celebrities. It is a strange phenom. Just because someone is recognizable on TV, they are a celeb.!

Yes, take a look at all the stupid tabloid magazines. There's too many to count! I believe Hollywood is nothing but a trash town and same with the celebs. They're nothing but overpaid and bratty celebs...

i don't really care that much of which celeb is going out with who and i don't care who's having who's baby. i don't think others should either. some people in this country should really see how people outside of the US live, and i don't mean people from western Europe.

always amazed when i see footage of the northern hemisphere at an airport when a celeb arrives, in Oz we cant be bothered...s'pose thats why most Celebs say they like the fact they can come to Oz and no one recognises them (fact is we do recognise them, we just dont care)
