they will calculate your due date again. give you a vaginal exam for all stds. and they will also draw blood to check for stds. some doctors even do a sonogram to estimate your due date too. you will also get alot of information on pregnancy and prenatal pills.

if they havent done it already they will draw you're blood so they can test it...and schedule an appt once a month..most appts after that they will just check for the babys heart beat...I suggest (even if you do not like to read) to go to walmart or target and purchase the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting", It's VERY interesting and it will answer atleast 90% of all questions you have about having a baby! CONGRATULATIONS! IM 26 weeks pregnant :).

Congratulations!!
Your doctor will probably do a breast and pelvic exam. He'll take a blood and urine samples and talk to you about what to expect and how you've been feeling.
You'll also get to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time! That's always exciting. He'll probably schedule you for an ultrasound soon too.
Good luck!

Not much at this appointment. They will ask how you are feeling, and probably test your urine for sugar and protien. They will discuss tests you can have done, and probably ask you to get some bloodwork done.
As you get further along in your pregnancy your appointments will get more in depth, with the doctor measuring the growth of your uterus and listening to the baby's heartrate.
I recomend finding a midwife instead of a doctor though :)

i am 5 and a half months pregnant and my first appointment took the longest! they do a pap test and a pelvic exam a breast exam blood tests a urine sample and they get your medical history. and they also did an ultrasound and i was 10 weeks a long so she looked like a jelly bean...after that the appointments get shorter and all you do is urinate in a cup tell them how you are and you are out of the office!
