Not sure about percentage wise, but I know a few people who have gotten married in their 60's. It doesn't matter how old you are- when people are in love and want to spend the rest their lives together, then it's a beautiful thing. The people that I have seen have had very successful 2nd marriages in their senior years.

Let's see, I was 17, 29. 35, 37, and 54. Yep, I got married again after 50. Can't wait for 62, 75, 83, 90, and 102.

Since I have almost reached that age group I can sincerely say that I hope people still marry at that age! I have many friends who are just now settling into serious relationships in their late 40s to early 60s.
I still hold out hope that I will eventually remarry before the age of 60.

I can't give you a percentage, but my personal experience from living in a retirement community. I've met quite a few people who were recently married (one or two years) and they were in their 50s, 60s and even 70s.
So romance is doing fine in the older generation.
Here are stats from one state:

My widower (or is it widowed?) grandfather got remarried after the age of 55. Why not?
People need to keep in mind that marriage, especially later in life, is not about passion and whirlwind feelings. It's about companionship and comfort, and many people in their later years need marriage to ward off loneliness. They are healthier and happier.

I can't give you a percent, but I can answer with a "yes'.
my ex step-mom remarried in her med 50's, and she is very happy, and the marriage is growing strong.
to my knowledge, more and more elderly people are getting hitched again in their golden years and I say good for them, life doesn't end at 50 , and may they have happiness and someone to share it with them till the end.......

Both of my parents remarried in their 50's. Both in mid/late 60's now and both still married.
You are more mature later in life and marriage is much easier.
