Yeah..In December the days are about mid to high 70's and at night it gets a little cooler sometimes it can drop to low 60's high 50's but that happens once in a while. Don't worry the water is always warm enough to swim all year long here..

I've been in Florida in December and went swimming. It was like summer. And Cancun is like 150 miles further south. So, Yes.

barely...i'm from new england, so i'm used to cold water, but i went to cancun the week before christmas, and unless it's sunny, it can be a little chilly to go swimming...the pools weren't heated, so i only went swimming during the day, but the ocean was warm enough....pack some long sleeve shirts for early morning
