I've found that most conservatives I know are very narrow minded. They only read the Bible and conservative publications. It makes for very uninteresting dinner conversations with them let me tell ya.

I think most people read what reflects the point of view they have already.
I try to read from a wide variety of sources and figure the truth is somewhere in between. But I'm a libertarian, not a conservative.

The conservatives that I know are serious readers of many types of information. I don't read left-wing sources to get facts, because there often aren't any. I do read those sources to try to understand the left-wing mind-set. It is something like reading Communist Chinese Chairman Mao Tse Dung, except he was a LEADER and he had a PLAN OF ACTION.

No, the corporate right-wing US media just counter-balances the grossly exaggerated left wing propaganda machine. All sources (including independent, green party, etc) should be considered for a "balanced" political opinion. But that is just my opinion.

If you call the CBC.com, BBC.com diet junk the maybe. However unlike you I still only take at face value what each of the medias put out and form my own opinion about what was said.

Thank GOD that Fox News exists, everything else is soooo liberal---no doubt, fox news is conservative, but at least it is not liberal bullsh#t-----fox news is the only news channel that is dedicated to finding out what is going on in the middle east, they have gone so far that two of their reporters were kidnapped (im so glad they r back home now)
fox news doesnt sugar coat everything and kow-tow to liberals and bash bush I LOVE FOX NEWS
anyways, how many sources are left, i mean, look at NY times, they help the terrorists aka islamic extremists
however, i still will watch msnbc and cnn, but if there was a survey on my favorite news channel i would say FOX NEWS!!! haha, and stephen colbert (pronouced col-ber---its french--haha) just makes it better, because he is also sick of the liberal view on everything, plus he's hilarious

You seem to be one who categorizes people and I would guess generalizes about everything else.
Conservatives, you would find. spend a good deal of time investigating the world around them and listen to all views before making decisions.
I think you would find also that the media is not conservative and that corporate industry is what built this country and is presently in dire need of help or our economy is going to continue weakening.
Idealism without facts is a waste of time.
