It will only be a preview if the Tigers can finally prove they can beat the Yankees. If they lose this series, nobody will believe they have a shot at going all the way, not even us in Detroit.

It's both. It is just a series for two teams that are in command in their divisions. Looking to the playoffs, the Yankees probably will beat the Twins/White Sox in the ALDS. The Tigers will probably beat the Athletics. That means this is the preview of the ALCS, in terms of the teams involved, but not necessarily the personnel. And certainly not the immediacy. Hope the Tigers crush them.

Sorry bud, but the Tigers aren't battle tested, and the arms of Verlander, Zach Minor, and Zumaya are going to wear out. If they keep playing this badly the rest of the way, u might not even see a division title. I say ALCS is Yankees vs. A's, with the Yanks winning in 6.

It's just another series. The Tigers are choking like I thought they would all year and will fall apart in September. Chicago will beat Minnesota in the ALCS.

it truly is the two. it truly is basically a chain for 2 communities that are in command of their divisions. seeking to the playoffs, the Yankees probable will beat the Twins/White Sox interior the ALDS. The Tigers will probable beat the Athletics. meaning it truly is the preview of the ALCS, in terms of the communities in touch, yet no longer inevitably the staff. and not in any respect the immediacy. wish the Tigers weigh down them.

They're playing each other this week? Yeah, I'm interested!

(I'm a Mets fan.)

This definitely might be a preview of what's to come in the ALCS.... hope the Tigers sweep!

It's a preview.

Detroit will prevail and still win The Central.

So what, they have lost a few games here and there.
Nothing to worry about. I still have faith, and those Tiger fans who have given up: I say Good Riddance!
