I'm here -- only to say 'I don't know them'. The only 2 players I little know are Stankevicius - was playing in Brescia - and Danilevicius, Avellino's good forward (now switched to Livorno, see point 4.)). Actually I don't know anything about their line-up and playing style. I've found only the link www.futbolas.lt, but it's only in Lithuanian language. There is a poll where it seems they give Italy 49% chances to win, Lithuania 24%, draw 24%. (linked)
Actually I guess Italy is a top level team and Lit. a lesser one.
This is dangerous:
1. Italy often is poorly performing against lesser teams (2002 WC preliminaries, Lit-Ita 0-0, Kaunas, Sept. 2001)
2. Italy NEEDS 3 points in this match and a draw in the next. They're out of fitness, French seem better, a mistake in the first match could be deadly in the tournament. If they would start with a draw, another draw in Paris could be not enough.
3. So I guess Donadoni is right. Italians must focus on themselves trying the best tactics and schemes before playing this pair of match, and this training should avoid an over confident attitude in the first one (I HOPE). He needs to picks carefully the starter and the replacements.
4. On UEFA news (linked), those are the players in the line-up for Italy and Scotland match:
Goalkeepers: Žydrūnas Karčemarskas (FC Dinamo Moskva), Mindaugas Malinauskas (FBK Kaunas), Arvydas Kacinkevičius (FK Vėtra).
Defenders: Marius Stankevičius (Brescia Calcio), Rolandas Džiaukštas (FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast), Andrius Skerla (FC Tom Tomsk), Gediminas Paulauskas (FK Ekranas), Tomas Žvirgždauskas (Halmstads BK), Darius Žutautas (FK Atlantas), Irmantas Zelmikas (SC Tavriya Simferopol).
Midfielders: Deividas Česnauskis (Heart of Midlothian FC), Marius Žaliukas (Heart of Midlothian FC), Darius Miceika (FHK Liepajas Metalurgs), Aidas Preikšaitis (FK Vėtra), Saulius Mikoliūnas (Heart of Midlothian FC), Andrius Gedgaudas (FK Atlantas), Vitalijus Kavaliauskas (FK Ekranas), Mantas Savėnas (FK Ekranas), Tomas Tamošauskas (FHK Liepajas Metalurgs), Mindaugas Kalonas (FHK Liepajas Metalurgs).
Forwards: Robertas Poškus (FC Dinamo Moskva), Tomas Danilevičius (AS Livorno Calcio), Edgaras Jankauskas (Heart of Midlothian FC), Tadas Labukas (FK Žalgiris Vilnius), Povilas Lukšys (FK Ekranas).
I'm surprised seeing 4 players from Heart of Midlothian, checking wiki I've discovered Hearts' owner is a Lithuanian, Romanov, and now Hearts have coach and 9 players from Lithuania.

It's all (and really few :-(
