Wow! Good question! I wonder if one of the Yahoo! Answers people could answer... Or maybe leave it on their 360 page. Hmmm... It does make you wonder...

You know I guess that Yahoo had a hard time figuring out where to put us. But there is more to a gay person than just love and relationships. On the other hand, I resent the idea that we are a culture apart from mainstream America.

So I agree we don't belong here, though I might not agree to putting us in Love/Relationships.

I'm okay with it here IF it was directly under society and culture. I don't like it being further buried, feels like the closet. Oh, and I'd like religion moved elsewhere so that we wouldn't get quite so many bashers :).

If we could have 2 categories, I'd want the other one right under Family and Relationships -- again not buried!

Personally, it's a tough call where to stick only one category. Here is more about all issues -- at least if we make it be.

I thought It seemed a bit odd too at first glance. Being straight myself - I figured someone more representative from the LGBT community should raise the issue... so I'm glad you did - and what's the deal with "bullfighting" is yahoo answers just -challenged- when it comes to categories or what?

Yeah, I asked this question in like May and no one knew then either. Nearest we could figure was that it spelled of homophobia or at the least heterosexism, but we really couldn't agree on the why or how. And we had no idea what to do about it.

If you want to read up, here is my old question here:

I think that it's mostly because we are our own culture. We have the gay scene and LGBT community centers. I think we should be under both love and cultures.

I think there should be both. This category for politics, culture, and questions from non-LGBT people, and then one in Relationships for, you know, same-sex relationships.

because being gay is an idea by men not a fact and a truth. True love is between God a man and a woman this is normal relationship categories. This is normal and what normal people want to hear majority rules here ,,,the majority of the people here are hedro sexual so they have all the freedom to do so.
