Try showering and washing with cool or lukewarm water. Consider using no soap on the areas that are bothering you - try baby wash or colloidal oatmeal on them - and do a really good job rinsing. Just stand under the shower and let the water do the work, don't rub and scrub. The idea is to give your skin some relief from chemicals and friction. Sunlight, heat, extreme cold, tight or hot clothing, and swimming pool water are also bad for inflamed skin.

Cover your skin in the daytime, go outside as little as possible, and take lukewarm showers. Use heavy sunscreen when you have to go out. Put cream or lotion on at night. Those steps and winter should take care of the problems.

stay out of the sun, always wear sunscreen, there are skin bleaches on the market hot showers dont make you red for more than a few minutes. if its really red it may be rosacia, i think you need to see a skin doctor.

Hey! We have a new redneck, huh?
Lol, j/k. Use warm water when showering, and wear sunscreen. That's all I can tell you to prevent it in the future...

it'll probably be tan for a short while after the redness but if you become a hermit maybe this effect will be skipped.
