i dont know if its possible, but i was wondering if i could set it up to turn on at a certain time. just wondering.

No, you'd need like a BIOS that would support that.

The only place I have seen an option like this is in the BIOS.

Or you could leave the PC on without having it go to sleep or hibernate, then set a scheduled task to play a music file or something.

There's different softwares you can buy for that. Do you have Outlook for your email? If so, Outlook has an alarm on it.
