Sorry, but the answer is really 64t^2-1 Let me explain... For this kind of problem, you need to do 4 multiplication problems. Ok so.. (8t-1)(8t+1). First multiply 8t and 8t to get 64t^2. Then multiply 8t and 1 to get 8t. Next do -1 and 8t to get -8t. Last do -1 and 1 to get -1. Set them up like this... 64t^2+8t -8t-1 The 8t and -8t cross each other out leaving you 64t^2-1 This process is usually called FOIL so if you look that up, I'm sure you'll get more general help.
