my ps2 is not playin dvds or ps2 games it can play ps1 games and music cds just fine do u know whats rong

just call PlayStation and they will tell u to ship it to them and they will fix it for free if u haven't tried to mod it that is.

i had the same problem! u should send it back to sony to have them fix it for u. or u can get a warranty from where u bought it from if u had an extended year warranty. but beware, if u have been doin cheat codes on your ps2, that could also be the problem. my frend was playing the new tony hawk game(on xbox), and was doing cheat codes. the cheat codes corrupted his hard drive. he didnt know what the hell was wrong with it. so he went online and he read an article in a forum saying that doing cheat codes on some games can break down your video game system...gl on fixing it

i feel for you man. the same thing happend to me a year ago. im guessing you had the ps2 for a few years or you bought it. the problem is after a few years (4-6 years) the ps2 wont work. the best thing to do is get a new one or call playstation and sent it to them to fix.

verify the region tips on your console and the video games you are attempting to play. evaluate chum and NTSC alterations. additionally, attempt checking if the different cds you are attempting to apply are actual PS2 discs. persist with the unique stuff I consistently say. while you're, whether, attempting to play pirated CDs then circulate forward and have a modchip put in. make certain you have a guy or woman with stable hands do it or once you're advantageous alongside with your soldering skills, you're able to do it your self. be responsive to warning thoug, this generally voids the guaranty of your console.

u got to reajust the lazer hapend to mine to but i fixed it and now no problems
