Can someone please help me? my desktop has just disappeared,theres nothing there,no icons etc.What can i do?

have you tried RIGHT clicking on the Desktop then going to Arrange Icons By ..then scrolling down to Show Desktop Items and making sure there is a tick next to it?

Try hitting 'ctrl+alt+del'
under the 'Application' tab select 'New Task...'
then type, 'explorer.exe' in the 'Create New Task' pop-up windows and click 'OK'
