I don't think I would be giving my 12 yr old son so much freedom with computers and the internet...my guess is that you are the 12 yr old on here now.

My son was a computer whiz at that young age too... he's 21 now and completely addicted to online internet 'cities' (you don't really have to live in the real world any more). He's a computer science major and we'll likely spend the rest of his life programming and spending all his time with computers (instead of friends and family). If I could do it all over again, I'd would have never allowed Super Mario into our house.

My 8 year old grand daughter plays violin, builds her own computers and is taking college algebra this fall.

Mine just converted my Blazer to run on salt water. it gets 87 miles a gallon. he is 13.

Can my kid dot this? WTF? Installing a new DVD drive is not big deal. Now if he programmed in C++, then I'd be more impressed.
