hey Brand X, i like your presentation. Keep in mind, the sudden changing of hearts came immediately after Lieberman was ousted and before the newest polling claiming Lieberman as the Indy Frontrunner.

Bush is very, very unpopular right now with the American public. Politicians don't want to be associated with him because they don't want it to cost them votes. It's a representative republic in action!
It may have something to do with Lieberman, maybe people are suddenly seeing that being too close to Bush can really hurt them, but Republicans have been jumping ship for months, ever since the approval rating first went down into the 30s.

It doesnt have to do directly with Lieberman, but Lieberman was an early victim of anti-Bush sentiment that is being felt all over the country and Republicans can read it as well as Democrats. Look how fast Hillary was to endorse Lamont. Remember, she voted for the war too!
Bush's policies have failed, he is losing an unjust war and is very unpopular.

Assuming your premise is true, I don't think it has to do with Lieberman because isn't Lieberman the frontrunner in the general election?...proving that staying the course is only suicide in a Democratic primary but not the general election.

The congressmen are up for re-election and they know how unpopular Bush has become. After sucking up to him all this time, now they want to pretend they don't go along with him, hoping they'll get re-elected that way. Let's show them how wrong they are and vote all of the spineless yellow-bellied liars out.

The President of IRAQ said that they would be able to take over the brunt of the security this fall. This administration as always said it will reduce as Iraq increases. So what is the big deal? That we didn't give everyone an exact day? There is nothing this president can do to make people like you happy so just suck it up for another 2 years.

Most of the American people do not agree with our presidents actions and the republican party is well aware of this , If they don't distance themselves from him we will have another liberal in office soon(could be even worse in other ways)

Because the MSM has made him look bad politically (like they did to Clinton in the late 90's).
Politics is about image over all.
Remember that Popular image isn't necessarily reality.

It's probably a Rove strategy, distance yourself from the President so you can get re-elected. That way they can keep control of congress............... they hope. Have you noticed that some Republicans aren't even showing their party affiliation in the ads? It must be bad when you are afraid to say you are a Republican.

BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS DISAPPROVE OF BUSH AND HIS WAYS. AMERICANS WANT THIS "TIMETABLE" ALSO. THEREFOR THESE REPUBLICANS WANT TO BE ON YOUR GOOD SIDE FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL UPCOMING ELECTIONS.
