What changes, if any, do you feel are necessary to to ensure long term survivability of the country, and at the same time return it to a country of the people and not of corporations?

I think what has to happen is government needs to get out of its unholy alliance with big business. Did you know that in recent years the government has gotten into a nasty habit of using "public domain" (a way for the government to obtain land needed for public works projects) to take land from ordinary Americans and transfer it to private corporations that want to develop it? I think this is something every person who owns or wants to own a house should be worried about. When you talk about returning the country to the people, not allowing the government to continue to do this is the number one thing that has to be done.

Not to say that this isn't the land of opportunity anymore. I live in a thriving Vietnamese neighborhood, made up entirely of people who came to Boston 20 to 25 years ago with nothing but a foam mattress, rice and the shirts on their backs, who have totally transformed a blighted area of the city into a wonderful place to be. It can absolutely happen, I just think the government has to stop meddling and let it.

Many lands are lands of opportunity, China happens to lead right now in economic / investment opportunity.
The U.S.A. (America) has much opportunity, just like alot of free market nations. I personally would like to start trading foreign currency..

No changes (it will never be a utopia), just continue to honor the constitution and protect it from slow encroachment as we are seeing these days.

Heck yes, America is the land of opportunity.
You are free to pursue any opportunity, business
or leisure, that you want to. We have many many
people who have started their own businesses
and have become successful. Let's welcome
all kinds .......whether corporations or private
types. Why not? Opportunity for all.

Until corporations get the right to vote, the people deserve whatever government they elect. There is no 'returning' to be done.
