Just keep up the good work! Some teachers can be hard to get along with, but remember -- they are the teacher, you are the student. You aren't there to find a friend, you are there to get an education. As long as she doesn't discriminate against you for any reason, just hang in there. She can be the one you and your friends joke about at your class reunion!

Hi i heart. Hope I can be of some help. I have had more than one teacher who didn't like me and it is awful. In a way, there is nothing you can do, short of going invisible. There is a kind of strange chemistry that seems to make some teachers not like certain kids. The only thing that worked for me was to try to get into the teachers "human radar". That means, getting them to recognize you as a human: a person with real feelings. If you can do that, the teacher will naturally be more sympathetic and treat you better. To break into that radar, find some tiny way (so he/she won't know what you are doing) to share something with the teacher. Say, something you just picked up on the way to school and thought of him/her. Give it to them (a pretty leaf, a nice stone, a flower) when it will not be embarrassing to them. That just might work. I hope I did help you because I know you are a really nice person.

maybe you run your mouth in class too much or clown around. I have pupils in my classroom that do their work and make good grades, but they don't know how to keep their mouths close or they do things for attention. Besides, you're not there to gain friendship from a teacher, you're there to get an education and learn as much as you can b/c you will need it.If this is not the case and you are a model student, continue dong what you're doing and stay out of her way, next year you'll have a new teacher.

All you can do is your best. Don't turn flips for noone. If your teacher doesn't like you, then that's a personal, unprofessional problem they need to get over, not you. Don't worry about it unless their opinion starts to affect your grades. If that happens, try to talk to your teacher about it first. Be respectful and unaccussing. That way you can confirm your beliefs and not compromiser yourself in the process. If your beliefs are confirmed and there still is no peace (meaning your grades are still being affected by this) talk to someone higher than your teacher (principal, etc)
Good luck

All your life you may have to work with or work for people you don't like, or people who don't like you. It's just part of life.
Just remember that it doesn't matter if your teacher likes you or not. You're not there to be her friend. You're there to learn and get good grades.
But I bet you will find that, over time, she warms up to you. It is only the beginning of the school year. You're getting to know each other. She probably is trying hard to be strict and to set high expectations for you.
Keep doing all your work, keep being kind and respectful, and I KNOW your teacher will appreciate it. Trust me, I'm a teacher. Teachers love any student who listens and works hard.

Sometimes it may be miscommunication. You could be assertive and ask them 'why are you so difficult' or something like that. It may be the teacher is downright mean ... I teach and some ppl I work with are awful-the stereotypical 'bad teacher'.
Stay focused, continue to do well and be your pleasant self. You will do great
(my guess: communication issue)

You didn't give any reasons why you think she doesn't like you (only reasons why she should). Maybe you're just reading too much into it. Maybe you're not. As long as you get your grades, who cares? You'll only have her for a semester, right? A year tops? Play the game and chalk it up as HER loss for not getting to know you better.

I just had a workshop on this today...don't worry...it is not you, it is the teacher...he/she is not a good teacher oviously, if I were you I would ask her, what issues she has...how can you make her happy...that should really get her/him...ask her, and look in her eyes..."Miss Elephant...what can I do for you to make you happy" :) and see what she has to say...

her problem is probably that she's afraid that you're going to upstage her during class one day. she's scared that you might be smarter than she can cater to. your abilities might surpass her own. just remember, do not ever, EVER, turn into a suck up. that is a sure fire way to cement you into her mind as a kid that she doesn't want to like. just treat her with respect, and maybe she'll get the picture and realise that you only want to learn.
