Tonight, I watch our president stroll through the ruble of New Orleans and dodge question from Brian Williams. Bush does a good song and dance but he's a little short when it comes to backing up his words. So far, his administration has shown us just how far ignorance will get you.

Right now as I write this the president is negotiating a large purchase from the Hershey company so that mayor nagins can rebuild his "chocolate" town.

Why not be honest about whos fault all of this has been? Who was the mayor that refused to utilize hundreds of school buses at his disposal to evacuate citizens? Who was the democrat governor who when the president offered federal assistance 3 days PRIOR to katrina making landfall said she had the situation under control? Who was the mayor that refused an offer to purchase, crush, and remove thousands of vehicles which would have earned the city a little profit, because he thought he could get it done himself...which ended up losing the city a whole lot more? Who reelected this mayor after all this occured? So you tell us how far ignorance gets you.

It is not the President's job. Haley Barbour, Governor of Mississippi
has people doing great things there and they also were devistated,
but he had every school open and ready for kids this month. But,
the Mayor of New Orleans (Nagen) has not put any plan in for his
chocolate city so their schools are not ready for children yet. The
local people can't sit and wait for President Bush to come build back
their homes. He has granted thousands of dollars to be used as
Nagen sees fit, but some of the money has gone to prisioners and
some to people who lied and got some of the money. Nagen has
let his people down. He's the one that is doing a good song and
dance, my friend. So maybe you're the ignorant one.

Country girl talks out the wrong end!!! Done something before? What a perfect example on how stupid a person can be. What a MORON! Since when does our President have control of the freakin weather!

I think there has been allot done, and its not just up to the President, geez, those people lost their homes, etc. You would think they would want to turn over a new leaf and WORK for once, and stop waiting for the Govt to pay their way....... That would surely speed things up!

What should they do? You tell us what the government should do? They are sending billions down there. I'm tired of the whining , you tell us what you think this government owes New Orleans? Here's the problem, the senators and congressmen are hearing from their constituents (people like me) that are telling them NOT to give New Orleans an open check book. This crosses both sides of the isle. You are the one who is appearing ignorant.

If I was president, I wouldn't spend a nicle there until that racist peic of crap mayor resigns. There is nothing like some big mouth racist telling the president and the world that the government is racist, and then begging for help from the government. That would be like me telling Jesse Jackson that he is a racist, then asking the reverend to donate to the NAA-WP. Stupid, stupid people. Nobody even has a plan for N.O. and nobody there wants to get a plan of action together. What is ignorant is the mayor saying he wants N.O to be "chocolateTown" That is ignorant and racist. I hope none of my tax dollars goes there as long as he is mayor.

How could blame him because Louisiana didn't spend all $100Billion that is offered to them (from our gov't). Look at the leaders of Louisiana and you'll find real weaknesses. They still blame the national gov't when actually 80% of New Orleans was evacuated. The other 20% didn't or couldn't get out, where was Ray to help them?

It has been 1 year now. There is no reason New Orleans is not back to where they should be. Bush could of done something then and did't. But now he talks and is going to do something only because the elections are in november. We help all other countries but when we are in need the goverment is not here for us.

Are the lazy SOB's in New Orleans ever going to stop whining for hand-outs and "spring into work" to fix the problem or MOVE ?

Look, Bush and his administration consider most of the misplaced people as welfare recipients and drug users and drug dealers. No one wants to help these type of people. Mainly because it is felt that they do harm to society and don't pay taxes.

He sure did "spring into action" in MS. It looks like the demos down there in Sin City 2 have been awol from duty and they think that everyone needs to do for them. Typical.
