Human nature. I am not condoning it. But it is part of the human condition to lie. Some reasons: to spare someone elses feelings, to get out of trouble, to cause trouble, to make yourself look better than you really are.

Some people tell lies maby because there afraid of the truth or maby because they don't want to get in trouble and they might be trying to get there way out of a situation.

People tell lies because sometimes people can't handle the truth. It's also easier in a bunch of situations. Like if a chick asks if she's fat... you'll hurt her feelings if she is really fat and you tell her so. Therefore by lying you don't feel bad and she doesn't feel bad.

I don't know. I know someone who goes to church every Sunday, yet tells lies occassionally. Seems like he wouldn't but, no. I think it is not worth it to lie. I am blunt to the point of it being rude at times.

I can think of several reasons why a person would lie.
So they don't get into trouble.
or
To protect someone's feelings.
or
It's not their place to tell.
or
They want to hurt you.
Okay that is all the reasons I can think of.

people tell a lie so that they wont hurt other person or should i say avoiding of hurting em..
some just want to do it..

well the reason y i tell lies is ether to get out of trouble (which never works cuz it just gets me in more deep) or to not hurt someone by telling them the raw hard truth!
