Because they're so used to sticking by a decision regardless of new facts that it's become habit.
And everyone else is so used to Bush lying, that they no longer believe anything he says, not even when its the flip-flop opposite of what he's been saying all along.

The question shouldn't be whether Iraq directly had anything to do with the acts that occured on 9/11.
After 9/11, the current administration declared war on terrorists and stated that the US was not going to tolerate countries that harbored terrorists. So, the reason that we are in Iraq is that Sadam was a dictator that had long been playing games with the US and the United Nations. There were multiple U.N. resolutions passed against him for not allowing inspectors to come in. He made threats and multiple intelligence agencies (not just the US) came forward with info stating that he had weapons programs underway and was developing weapons of mass destruction.
Sadam's actions and non-cooperative nature combined with the intelligence of multiple countries made him and the weapons he was suspected of creating a threat to the peaceful world. The US had been sucker punched once and learned from that experience. They weren't going to take chances anymore.
It wasn't that Iraq or Sadam directly had anything to do with the events of 9/11. They problem was that they were falling within the scope of our newly declared war on terror.

Huh, like a typical demo-twit you answered you own question. Long after the demise of the Demo party history will prove George Bush as one of the greatest presidents in America. By establishing a military force in Iraq and Afghanistan the commander in chief was able to take the fight to the enemy instead of waiting in liberal fashion for the terrorist to complete multiple 9-11 attacks on the U.S.

We don't. You're buying into the hype. Anyone who doesn't believe that terrorism is funded and manned across ALL borders, and that anywhere is the place to take the fight, is going to have it in their front yard.
I've truly never encountered such narrow thinking as current Leftist dogma. You guys probably think if you do buy TAG you might get some tonight. Madison Avenue's dream boys.........

Ever hear of the guy Mussouri Al Queda leader in Iraq killed a few months back? And when will you left wingers figure out that turn tail and leaving before the job is finished will be worse. Remember what happened to Vietnam and Cambodia when the Democrats turned their backs on them in 1975? It would be worse this time.

By "Right Wingers" you mean the administration right? Because as a Republican that lives in a red state in a military town, believe me when I tell you that we think this war is BS and grounds for impeachment. Military families here feel betrayed by Bush and his administration. That said, Coragryph I think answered your question perfectly. I agree with that assessment.

They don't. It's just that left-wingers keep insisting that they do in their never-ending drive to try and make the right appear to be stupid, thinking that if they just keep repeating the lie sooner or later someone will believe it. Having no plan in place for managing America's security, making the right look bad is about the only way the left has any hope of winning the next election.

No one likes to admit they were wrong. It's human nature. We've killed thousands of our young American heroes because of this lie and even more Iraqi women and children. Good work Bush gang, may God have mercy on your souls. I sure wouldn't.
