Just wondering if the pumice stone that is used on toilets is the same as the one made for your feet.

Yes, it is. I work for a toilet manufacturer and we've heard this one. We've only recommended it in extreme cases. Vitreous china is strong and it takes a lot for a chemical to damage it but a pumice stone has the chance to scratch it (slim it may be). If you scratch it there is no way to fix it. Just try a good toilet cleaner like the 3M toilet bowl cleaner or even something as simple as Barkeeper's Friend which you can often find in grocery stores or Bed, Bath, & Beyond. It is advertised for stainless steel but works good on vitreous china, cast iron, and even the texture portion of fiberglass tubs (not the smooth area as it could scratch).

Pumice Stick

I have used a pumice stick on our mineral stained toilet. It seems rougher than the foot variety, but I don't truly know. Does anyone know of the pumice stick will scratch the porcelain in the toilet?

I never had to use it for my toilet, but there is only one pumice stone I know...that for your feet.

It's much rougher than the kind you would use on your feet. I've used one to clean a toilet with nasty mineral stains down at the bottom - nothing else had any affect at all.

The kind you use on your feet are not designed for the toilet. I just tried one specifically for the toilet; it worked well and didn't scratch, but the handle of it fell off!

the stone for your skin is not as coarse as the one for the toilet, I have found if I get the water out of the bowl I can clean the hard water ring easier. a little extra effort but works better in the end...:D

No,I don't think so. You DO NOT want to use anything that will scratch the surface of your toilet.
