Why should anyone work within ethical parameters? Why should anyone play within ethical parameters? Think about it.

Ok, i'll give you a hint. Think of a scientist who does medical research. This scientist wants to find out if a new drug will work or not. He decides to test it on humans. He has a choice on whether or not to tell his test subjects about the side effects of the new drug. Does he do it? Are there any ethical problems in doing that? What if a scientist wants to test whether shampoo will make a person blind? Should the scientist test on animals?

Think of what some complications would be in the above dilemmas and perhaps you'll find some answers

Total freedom is an illusion.

All of us live within rules and regulations.

Physically, we have the physical laws and principles.
Spiritually, we have our conscience.

Even though conscience is very weak and not being understood at the present moment, we should live by its rules and regulations, which ethical parameters are an expression of it.

Physical laws and principles were very pooly understood until the recent few centuries, but throughout history, people should live by it to be ok.

They don't. They are hired by governments and businesses to do completely unethical things. Those who are bound by ethics can cause as much harm as good. Tesla was a 'moral' man and because of that, Westinghouse was able to control and stiffle him and prevent many discoveries from ever occuring.

Look at what NASA, Monsanto, DuPont, Dow Chemical, Litton Industries, Atheon, Lockheed Martin and so many other companies hire scientists to do.

Ethics are for the scientists who want to earn very little money if any at all. It's just not that kind of world.

But being young and stupid, ethics/morality prevented me from becoming a scientist in the first place. We don't need more technology. We need to develop societies that can handle the technology we have before it's over lol. So far we're well on our way to our annihilation.
