It is a website where you set up a personal web page of what I love to call "self-advertisement". You tell people crap they don't even want to know & post pictures of yourself acting a fool. On a few rare occasions you actually get in contact with people you have lost touch with over years... & actually want to keep in touch with now.
Honestly take a minute to browse MySpace... if nothing else you'll get a good laugh out of the ammount of people whom have pictures of themselves in front of a mirror... often blowing kisses... alot of times half naked... with captions expressing how "so totally hot" they think they are! (FYI most are barely legal). It is a social networking website which in all essence has turned into a cesspool full of pedophiles, pre-mature porn-stars & low self esteem boys & girls looking for validation from the drones of fellow pathetic MySpace FIENDS (I said fiends, not fRiends)... LOL! MySpace is the new age American Addiction!
One last thing... if you are offended by my opinion... than unfortunately you related to my description...

I guess it's because the site has just hit it really big by word of mouth. Even though it makes it easy to create a website and add content, there have been many sites like that around for years.
It's like Abercrombie. Teenagers is what made it so popular...

its just a place for people to make a profile, and meet friends on the internet. people do it because its simply addictive. like, its really really really addicting. ill go nuts if i dont check it one day. hah
