I do not think that you can save in a TXT file. It is always in a gradequick file I think. I can check for sure when I get to school tomorrow. I always just click on save as and then save as you would normally save something.
Is there a reason why you want a TXT file in particular?

well, try clicking on "file" then go down to "save as" then in the save dialogue box in the other pulldown menu in the box under the file name choose what file type you want.
