Wouldnt it Be Great if they Had a 20 yr Anniversary show and Come to Find Out Angela Lansbury's Jessica Character Turned out to be a Serial Killer and actually Offed everybody in her previous shows? I know Just a Dumb Idea :p

after All She just always Happened to be there! :-).....

Hello,Your suggestion is very possible and Hollywood has made a few movies with your idea.However there was more to Murder She Wrote than just finding out the killer of every episode. Angela Lansbury has been acting for a very long time and she already had an audience long before Murder She Wrote.Highly accepted and rewarded Broadway celebrated actress.When Murder She Wrote came along,her audience was thrilled to see her again every week.What she was wearing,how she looked,any romance.Murder She Wrote also brought back hundreds of familiar actors and actresses who were her friends.
Jessica always saw the same clues which we had a chance to see and which her audience could solve too. One thing about life that we cannot escape-we all get old and as you have said,
stories repeat themselves in different ways.

Funny, my Mother, God bless her soul loved that show.
It wasn't bad, I have to admit.
But that show was the same as Scooby Doo, every episode was almost exactly the same.
In Scooby, scary ghosts turned out to be crooks scaring people away from their criminal enterprises.
In Murder she would always have a friend or acquaintence who was framed for murder and she would come to the rescue.
Serial murderer, thats good, or what about Super Alien Detective, Jessica was from another planet!
