Speakers with red and black "naked" wires to some type of adapter to plug into computers soundcard?

Sure. Just head over to Radio shack and buy a couple of jacks. Wire the speakers to the jacks, and plug em in.

Be aware that your computer doesn't put out much power for the sound, so it may not drive the stereo speakers very well.

Some day, you may want to add a power amplifier in between the computer and the speakers.

Yes you can using the plug that the above person mentioned from Radio Shack,
BUT older sound cards had a amplifier built into them and would run the speakers directly.
Newer sound card are not amplified and you have to use
speakers that have a built in amplitfier in order to get usefull volume.
But if you have the newer soundcard you won't hurt it with the speakers, you will just have very low volume.
