Yes! Especially when it has nothing to do with the question. This teen girl asked how she should prepare for a date, and the answer was "Pray to God to preserve your precious virginity and chastity, as it is God's greatest gift to a young girl".
The poor kid just wanted to know whether to wear jeans or a skirt!

It kind of bothers me but on the other hand, I understand that some people really do need that to fall back on when a situation comes along that cannot be controlled.
There is an exception to that though. When a parent refuses to take a desperately sick child to receive medical help because they believe that the well-being of their kid is "in God's hands".

I totally agree with you. People explain all types of behavior, (including murder, rape, etc.) on god. Terrorists believe in their interpretations but they are warped interpretation. I think we should believe as we wish but keep god out of the equation to answer questions. Questions deserve concrete answers, if possible, not religious ones, unless the question is religious. May the god of your choice bless you.

You would already know the answer to your own question if you had studied your scripture! For it is written that His name shall be used as an all-purpose explanation for all that man doth not understand, an excuse for all that is good or bad that we do not understand, and as an all-encompassing answer for questions that otherwise would require mental effort to find solutions for!
May you be touched by His noodly appendage!

Yup. I feel like they're trying to sell me something. Commercials and billboards and stores and signs; all day long they try and shove something down your throat. You'd think religion would be at least come with a more subtle shove.

It doesn't bother me too much unless it's a cop out. Some things are genuinely out of our control, as I'm sure you know.
