Hi there...I think it's fair. I refer to eBay's completed auctions to determine a fair value with equivalent machines.

Here's an example of one similar to your G4 Mac:

$750?? No way..

You can buy a PC that's 5 times faster overall with more features like a faster DVD burner, much faster video card, etc., for a lot less. Hell, I've seen better specs on a PC being sold for $500 and it comes with a monitor.

I can't imagine that Macs are that much more expensive. You can buy a G5 Mac or one with a Core 2 Duo processor for a competitive price to the one you're listing here.

Truthfully, I wouldn't purchase that Mac for more than $250, and a good deal would be closer to $200 since it's used.

i've got have been given 2 G4's - an audio and a reflected tension door and the two are on OS X 10.4 Tiger without problems in any respect. The audio did no longer have a DVD rom, so I had to deliver interior the Tiger DVDs for CDs - the reflected tension door has a DVD so now situation without of the container installation.

Yes thats a great deal. The reason why (this is the absolute truth) Dell makes their computers so cheap is because they are not built to last, they cash easliy, they are built cheaply and quickly to keep up with the demand of the customers. Trust me, dont be like all the other people who think they are getting a good computer when they are really not. Get the G4 its a superb model and a great computer that'll last you a long time.

It's a decent deal, but because the top tier G5's just came out with the Intel Xeon's, it might be best to wait, if you can.

The used Mac prices are about to drop significantly.
