NO, they care more about their political power than they do about their country or countrymen. They delight in sabotaging the war because America losing Vietnam was their last achievement. They love to undermine the war in Iraq because it would be a return to glory for them, if a few 18 year old American soldiers die to bolster their agenda than it is foe the greater good. The Fox news journalists are part of the problem for them since they remind them of the fact that they cannot control the flow of information anymore.
Liberals are beneath contempt.

Well, first thing is first- there are liberals, and there are liberals. Let us suppose you consider yourself a republican. I know you are clearly talking against liberals here, but I am not automatically assuming you are a republican, though let us suppose so. Let us also suppose you consider yourself a good-reasoning and somewhat think-before-you-follow political enthusiast. Aren't there going to be other people that call themselves republicans, that others accept as a member of that group, but that you regard as complete idiots that give GOOD REASONING republicans a bad name. The same goes for liberals. Please do not assume that just because they sound liberal, and fit your definition of liberal, that they are not necessarily considered by real liberals as idiots.
That being said, I no longer consider myself a liberal. I never really considered myself a republican, and perhaps I am subscribing to the same stereotyping as you are, but I simply see what many liberals are saying, and how they are saying it, and think to myself - well, concept may be good, but they are mangling the principle under politics and greed and general idiocy. I consider myself a good-reasoning humanist, with realist tendencies.
