If you are pregnant, you SHOULD be able to tell from a pregnancy test within the next few days.

If by any chance you ovulated on the 14th (or around there), you should have had (or will be having) your period start.

Ovulation happens 14 days prior to your next period....and pregnancy tests can be taken as early as 4 days prior to your next period.

That being said, it should now be possible for you to take a pregnancy test and get the result...remember it is common to get a false negative though....so if you're still concerned, then take two or three just to be sure. You can get pregnancy tests for cheap on the internet. I believe you can get them for around 90 cents each...I've bought them before and they're the ones that doctor's offices use so they're pretty accurate (they can pick up hCG very early on...better than the store bought ones).

Good luck!

P.S. I can't say whether or not it sounds like you're pregnant, but the nausea & fatigue are quite common even that early....not to mention the headaches....I ended up having a migraine for LITERALLY the whole first trimester of this pregnancy that is almost complete right now.
PPS sorry I just re-read your question and you said you had your period start this past Friday?? I'd be more concerned then about your blood pressure...if your headache gets worse or unbearable, go to a walk in clinic or demand to see your doctor sooner.

hmm. Some women get their period even though they are pregnant. I say wait until your period is gone and take another pregnancy test......or it might just be the medication. The weight gain might be water weight--many people with high blood pressure have all those symptoms.

Talk to your doc again and insist that he/she give you the preg. test.
