My brother keeps saying no. But I'm a believer that he will be back. If not what's next for him?

He'll be back. He's a terrific closer who's had some injury problems.

Don't forget that many closers have returned from long injuries...Mariano Rivera, Keith Foulke, etc. have all done well after coming back. No worries.

Eric Gagne will return next season for sure. he just had a injury that needed the entire season to heal. he will be back and just as dominating as before.

He is expected to be back, but he won't be the "Cy Young" Eric Gagne of two years ago

Will Gagne come back? Sure.

Will he be Gagne again? Nope. Steroid testing has destroyed that. Gagne was more juiced up than Tropicana Field.

He was the best closer in all of baseball not too long ago. Eric is a competitor and he wants to go out on top. Depending on how long this drags out he could retire, but I believe he will be back for one more hurah.

I say yes.but i dont know if he is gonna be as dominant as before.
look at fellow team-mate penny almost everyone thought he was done.this year when he came back from an injury he pitched 2 innings and did well,so only time will tell.i dont think that the dodgers need him anymore they should trade him.

Not if Takashi Saito keeps pitching the way he has been.

Yes he will be back, as a Dodgers closer, I don't know. He won't be the same.

Yes, but he'll be OFF the steroids... the "Game Over" guy is gone and done with.

He's gonna do what the song says and... "Take the Money and Run."
