I just recently formatted my Gateway Desktop with Windows XP home and I have installed the drivers for the computer, but for some reason I cannot adjust the monitor resolution from 16bit. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

You have to reinstall the Video card drivers

After the reinstallation of the windows xp operating the device drivers for the video card is not installed by the operating system automatically, so we need to install it manually.

You can reinstall with the help of the manufacturers Disk or downloading from the manufacturers website

this is been a lengthy time period in view that I had heard this example crop up. Did you've the reveal saver became on? the region that you're relating is termed "gamma staining." even as an image continues to be on a computer computer screen too lengthy, it actual imprints itself contained in the pixels very faintly because the pixels are so used to staying that way. i'm not particular a thanks to opposite it as quickly because it has occured, yet to dodge it from happeneing any extra, jsut make sure that you reveal saver is desirous to go back on after about 5-10 minutes and ascertain taht it really is a reveal saver that adjustments frequently and, in some unspecified time sooner or later, covers each pixel of the reveal. per chance not covers all of them right now, it jsut has to make use of each pixel in some unspecified time sooner or later in time.

If you have the proper drivers installed, go to control panel, display, settings and set it there.
