I think i have seen boards available to put in the computer but i dont know if mine is too old and cr@p to do anything with! Please help! Thank You.

Just get a usb 2.0 pci card, very cheap these days $10.

Yes you can put in a pci usb 2 card with no problem.

You can do it...PC world did it for me. However, I plus others I have spoken to who have done the same, agree that it does not fully give you all the additional USB2 speed compared to USB2 speed on a computer which has USB2 as standard..Save your money unless you want it for more USB ports. If it's just to get USB2 speed I wouldn't bother.

YES you can buy usb 2 card form pc world etc open your optiplex remember to wear anti-Static strap and slid it into spare slot

Yes you can mate, you can get both pci usb 2.0 cards and isa if your pc is even older :)

While it is possible to replace it, it would be better for you in the long run to replace your tower. Try looking at an Emachine. They make a really good product that won't cost you as much.

Maplin should have a USB2 card just plug it in a spare pci slot.
