I've been to Chicagoland (July 2005), Texas (Nov 2005), and have tickets for Texas this November. Can't wait!
What I like - all of it!! The crowds, the atmosphere, the fact that most folks are very friendly (even if you support a "rival" driver), the flyover during the opening ceremonies, the ability to listen to the team communications on the headsets, the rumble of the engines and the roar of the cars as they fly by at 180 MPH, the zeal that some folks put into supporting their drivers - I spent like 20 minutes driving around the parking area looking at the various tailgating setups before I got around to parking. =)
And, of course, the race. I like being able to watch the battles for position that *I* want (as opposed to what the TV decides we should be watching). And NO COMMERCIALS, so no missed restarts!!! =D

Michigan International speedway twice. That's the closest track from where I live in Ontario Canada. I agree with everybody that says Nascar is addictive once you been to the race. No high tech big screen TV can give you the same experience. There is just much more then the races itself going on. The merchandise, the car shows, the race cars on display, the drivers autographing, the tailgate parties, the camping in the Infield, the smell of fuel and rubber, the roar of thousands of horsepowers.... you gotta go to the races!! Any track is a unique experience, my fav would be the Daytona 500!! Maybe next year!
"Gentlemen start your engines!"

Well...technically. Not a Busch or a Nextel race though! About an hour from my house there's Langley Speedway. It IS NASCAR, but think of the A leauge in baseball. It was fun though, especially seeing the different kinds of cars racing. I love the noise, and the excitment.
I just started liking NASCAR this year, and the Richmond tickets for Nextel Cup are sold out :( But I've gotta go next year, probably my guys last year of racing :(
Go Sterling Marlin!

Yes, i've been to races in the 60's,70's,80's,90's,and 00's.
The smell of the exhaust, the roar of the engines, the hot tempers of the drivers. This just touches the surface.
I've been to 1/4 mile tracks in the 60's(Ned Jarrett won by a full lap on the field).Watched Richard Petty squeak by Bobby Allison on the 5/8 mile at Birmingham in the 60's.Watched races at Talladega, and Daytona in the 70's.Caught some races at Talladega , Atlanta in the 80's.In the 90's went to Talladega from 99thru this year ,have had pit passes for most of the races.
So if youy get the chance go,go,go!

I have been and will continue to visit my local track for a full weekend of racing twice a year at the California Speedway many, many times, Las Vegas International Speedway, Phoenix International Speedway, Sonoma Road Course, and Talledega -(only once )
I love the buzz at the track on 'Race Day' and the sound of the cars racing by in a pack - " Boggity, Boggity Boggity - Let's Go Rac'n Boys ! "

been to a few races and LOOOVE everything (well except traffic) abut them.
i mean, the live excitement is just undescribable. the live sound of those engines firing up is like a little slice of heaven!!! the smell..the rumble in your chest when they are coming towards you with the throttle all the way down..
the environment is great and for the most part (besides a few rotten seeds) the crowd is great. and this is coming from soeone who does not deal well with big crowds, LOL!!!
i was at the brickyard this year and had a blast with the people sitting around me. we had a great time..
lemme just throw this in too. you can scream at the top of your lungs and not have your neighbors pounding on the wall to shutup!! yeaaaaaayyy!!!
there are truly no words that can fully describe the once in a lifetime expeirence you get at a live race..

Yes I have every year in Fort Worth. I love the sound, the rumble and the smell when the announcer says gentleman start your engines. Just feeling that power does something for me. Im not sure thats normal for a girl, but oh well. I also like the wrecks of course. But to feel the fight for that finish is the ultimate. Then of course there is nothing better than the feeling of family in the stands and on the field. Just love it all the way around. Cant wait til november!!!!!!

I've been to Michigan Int'l Speedway. It's a load of fun to see the race in person. Just to know that you're watching the top drivers is nascar is just sometimes mindblowing. during drivers intros when they drive around the track, I was just like "whoa, that is freakin dale earnhardt jr! right in front of me!" It's just feels cool. And then to see the racing, pit stops, wrecks, all of that in person, it's just a really cool experience. and the fans are awesome...

Yes! I have been to Las Vegas(twice) and Phoenix once. I liked the pit passes the best. I got some good pictures of drivers and got to see crews working on the cars up close. I also liked all the displays outside the track. Always something to do. My favorite thing was bringing my camper down and tailgating all weekend with other fans. What a party! Oh did I mention all the girls.LOL
