What engine is it? If it is a 3.1 and the plug is about 1 1/2 inches in dia. and leaking oil. It is the oil pump drive gear housing. If it is a 3.1 engine and you see antifreeze in that area, you probably have a leaking intake gasket. Check your oil, if it looks milky, you have a bad coolant leak, and it is getting into the oil. Any intake leaks in that area, will eventually get into the oil.

Is it one of the after market freeze plugs ? Is it on the front of one of the heads ? It sounds like one of those rubber freeze plugs with the bolted center to tighten it. I can't be sure without seeing it though..........so I couldn't say for sure.

If you can figure out what is leaking that might make it easier. If it is antifreeze, you may need a new thermostat, or one of the hose clamps could be leaking.
