First of all, you're generalizing. Not all republicans, or democrats, or other, have the same view or opinion. Wherever you are getting your info is obviously biased and only says what they think.
Second, because you obviously have these views, you seem to think of them as true to everyone, and this is a big reason you don't understand the republican views. I can understand your view without sharing it.
REPUBLICANS CAN"T DENY THIS. What's that about? Is that a disclaimer that anyone reading your question will have no argument? Pretty high self-esteem you have there, also inaccurate.
Honestly, you are correct about repubs bashing John Kerry. They do it because they don't like him, not out of disrespect of his service. Democrats do it too, Bush bashing is out of control.
Cindy Sheehan, I don't know much about her because I don't really care, but from what I heard she was already the way she is now, even before her son died. She could be using her son's death for her cause, or she could be insane, or she could be a grieving mother. Whatever it is, I wonder why she thinks she's more important than any other grieving mother that her demands from the president should be met. From your statement above, you say she demands to know "why her son died in an illegal war / based on lies and fabrications". If those were her words, is it any wonder she's not getiing answers? If those were your words, then it's proof that you are biased and stating yet more opinions as facts.
I think that WMD are irrelevant to the war now. We went there because Saddam was becoming increasingly uncooperative to his treaty agreements that ended the persian gulf, which involved our belief, (and do you deny that you believed then too?) that Saddam had or was building WMD. The fact that SO FAR they are not found is irrelevant. If he had cooperated, if he had nothing to hide, there would have been no problem.
The last point I want to make is that although I hate the idea of war, of people killed, ours and theirs, soldiers and civilians, I do think that our being there is a positive thing. We went with good cause, we have stayed with good cause (do you think we should have left their country with no leader, no stability, so we can claim we followed our morals by ending a war as soon as possible?) They are no longer under that horrible dictator and they have the opportunity to make their country work for them, instead of working for the anti-America terrorists.

1) Cindy Sheehan was/is a lunatic. Her son did something with which she didn't agree, serving his country, and he died doing it. She isn't using her son’s death for anything but a step up for her political views. She didn't even get him a headstone for his grave until well after he died.
2) WMD wasn't a miss-understanding. They were there. They were moved.
3) John Kerry served his country and then came home to write a book protest a war and testify against his fellow soldiers. He said they committed war crimes and raped woman and children resulting in the death of some of his fellow soldiers.
Going further Republicans do NOT bash our troops. I would NEVER do that as I have MANY friends who serve our country and who have served our country. I have a friend who has volunteered to go back to Iraq because he believes that it's the right thing to do. I believe that volunteering to serve in our Nations Army is one of the most honorable things a person can do.
To me it's the Democrats that are letting our troops down but then we are all entitled to our own views.
A lot has happened in the past 6 years some good and some bad. I hate to see what it would be like if we would have sat back and let Saddam reign on. I hate to see what it would look like if we were always on the defense and not the offense.
Finally, Ann Coulter spoke out about four 9/11 widows that doesn't nearly equate to "anti 9/11 family rhetoric.

Cindy Sheehan is using her son's death for her own political agenda, (she wants her 15 minutes) She was estranged from her son. She could also honor her sons memory and the fact that he chose voluntarily to serve his country and a cause he belived in--instead of dishonoring her son. (my nephew just enlisted and should he die serving his country, I would consider him a hero and NOT blame anyone else. This is HIS decision.)
We were too deep into the war to cut and run. How irresponsible to leave a country WE invaded without a working government.
Don't know enough about the Kerry issue to answer that one--the subject of Kerry bores me........
Ann Coulter? She's over the top, but she is NOT anti American. She didn't bash all the spouses of 911--just the "Jersey girls"--which she did in a crass way--but she did get the point across. No one in America is allowed to offer a differing opinion from these women because they're widows. Since when does being a widow give you a protected (infallible) status? (On a personal note-my baby died--does that make me an expert on anything but a parent's grief?) Her point was that these women became instant foreign policy experts--not due to study but because their husbands died. And no, I don't believe 911 victims should be entitled to monetary compensation for an act of terror - insurance companies should've been made to pay life insurance policies as this was an act of terrorism--not an act of war (which is excluded in most policies). Did the Oklahoma bombing victims' familes demand money from the govt?

Do some research in Cindy Sheehan, she is not at all as innocent as you think. Her son volunteered to serve his country just like I did. He died doing it honorably. What she does in response is not admirable of a Soldiers Mother and only dishonors his death. i won't get into it, just do some research.
WMD was not a misunderstanding. They were there. UN inspectors were barred from entering the country for over a year and then when they got in, they were not allowed to inspect everything they needed. The translated notes from Saddams Intelligence agency proved there were WMD.
Bashed kerry for his service? Who bashed him? We bashed him for dishonoring his country and his service by throwing hard won medals to the ground. You think those Soldiers wanted to go to Viet Nam? Hell no, but they did and they fought with courage. Kerry is a traitor to every servicemember.
What freedoms has Ann coulter bashed? I know you cannot answer this, and I can rebuttal. Her attack on the Jersy girls is based on the fact that all these women cared more for their spotlight than their husbands death. What Coulter says in her book is quite tasteless, I agree, but the basis stands out.
The republicans are not Bashing America. I will agree that Bush is not the greatest president, and as a republican, I am not happy with some of his decisions and I am more than unhappy with the actions of his administration.
My job is to defend a nation and her people so they can say the things you have said and worse. I welcome hearing it because it means that my job means something. When the people of the United States are not allowed to say what they want anymore, then we have truly failed as Soldiers.
Do a little research...don't believe everything you see in blogs or hear from your buddy.
