I can usually smell the flavor on the cigar, but never taste it. I do have hay fever nad pretty bad allergies, but i can still taste food and stuff.

yes yes i know smoking is bad i dont need to hear it 500 times. Ive tried smoking like twice, and im just wondering why i cant taste it.

Its probably because your taste buds negate the flavor. Cigars do have a strong scent but they might not have that flavor that your desiring. Also, your allegergies might be reacting differently to the chemicals in the cigar, so thats probably why you can't taste it.
