I still can't do this, but depending on the style of the shoe and what else you're wearing on other people it looks fine.

My daughter wears a white pointed-toe heeled boot with her jeans and she gets a lot of compliments......even after Labor Day.

If it matches the outfit then yes I do. But granted most of my white shoes are open toe and I live in New England...which means snow. So if I wear white shoes in the snow they go gray.

How's that for a round about answer?

I never wear white, i hate it. So it doesn't matter if it is Labor Day or not. I wear darker colors all year, including summer. I wear darker colors because i get warm in lighter colors but i feel cooler in darker.

if someone else is concerned about what color youre wearing at a certain time of year, they prolly need a life...
the flip side of the coin is, you shouldnt really care either.
does the color of clothing on a person define who they are or their etiquette?
clothes dont make a person--a person makes the clothes.
