Well Batman is awesome because he has no superpowers. He's just a regular human who has perfected his skills. On the other hand, he's a billionaire, so he can afford all kinds of crazy gadgets. And he has nothing to worry about in his life when he's not being Batman.
Spider-man is better though. First of all, he's just a regular middle class kind of guy. He has to struggle to make ends meet. He doesn't volunteer to be a superhero, like Batman does. (Batman's kinda craaazy). Spider-man gets his powers by accident, but he realizes that he now has a responsibility to do the right thing. He COULD use his powers to get rich, but he knows that would be wrong.
Also Spider-man has a wry sense of humor and is always quipping and making jokes.
So Spider-man wins, because he gives us a real role model of someone whose life is still sucky in a lot of ways, but he uses his power for good. WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY. Plus he's cuter.

Ok so clasic question the spider or the bat.
Okay, Spiderman, a clumsy poor college kid driven by the fact he failed to protect his own family with his superpowers. Driven to protect his Aunt no mater how bad it gets. Struggling to get a date with the girl that loves his costume.
Batman, the young man sure in his possition to lead industry and fight for the little guy at the same time. Drive a insane belief that he himself is the answer to crime.
I enjoy the Dark Knight. but the punk kid is cool too.

we talkin' movies or comics?
movies: the last batman was the coolest; very deep.
comics: I'm still going with the Dark Knight. He's just so warped. Best by himself, with no Robin.
You (the reader) seam more in touch with him, like you're there with him. Spidey's cool though, a close second in my book. All the rest fall in third.
Except for Stuperman, He's a distant LAST.
