I started taking Seasonale 14 days ago and have been taking it everyday and not missing. However, one is supposed to take the first pill the Sunday after starting ones period. I couldn't get to the pharmacy until the Wednesday after that first Sunday... so my period had been over for four or five days before I started the pill.

My symptoms have been weight gain, large appetite, abdominal pain, and I used to be able to stay awake all day, but lately I've been taking naps everyday and am generally fatigued all the time.

My boyfriend and I have sex without a condom, but he hasn't ejaculated in me. I understand that there can be some semen in pre-ejaculate, but I don't think really enough to be a high statistic in becoming pregnant.. especially when you're on the pill.

So, my question is:
Is the pill causing these symptoms or are chances high that I am pregnant?

Also the directions say to take the pill the same time every day. I don't always do that. There is a about a 3 hour + or - window that I take the pill every day.

if you have questions about pregnancy just go to the pharmacy and get a pregnancy test. Just an FYI: ANY ejaculate can make you pregnant. It doesn't increase or decrease your chances if it is full on ejaculate or just precum. All you need is one sperm. If it were me. I would have waited to have sex or used condoms until next month when the pill had a chance to work the full cycle. I also would really try to take the pill the SAME TIME EVERYDAY I would only give myself an hour leeway at the most. However, your symptoms that you have listed are also symptoms that people experience when they are on the pill. I would just get tested and try to be more careful nexttime.

I HIGHLY doubt you are pregnant. I took Seasonale and it ruined me. I have never been the same since. I only took it for 6 months and I have been off birth control now for over 3 years and have NOT had a period on my own without meds since. I do not ovulate which means my husband and I have to go through vigorous fertility treatments to try and have a baby. I would be cautious of seasonale if I were you. I am not saying this is definetly going to happen but my OBGYN will not prescribe it because of the long term effects it can have on a womans hormones. I unfortunatly was not a lucky one and like I said it takes a rx called provera to bring on my period and then injectible meds to make me ovulate. It really sucks and yes I do believe 100% it's all thanks to seasonale.

Get a pregnancy test and go to a doctor. There's a good chance that you're pregnant, especially since you are taking the pill foe the first time and you took it late. You haven't been on the pill long enough for it to make a difference in preventing pregnancy. Get a test.

It may just been the birth control, but just to be sure I would suggest getting a home pregnancy test and taking it ASAP. If you are pregnant, you want to get started on taking care of that lil one.
