If you look at what Gateway is selling with similar specs (www.gateway.com), you might be able to determine the range you can sell it for. I mention Gateway since they sell PCs with AMD processors.
However, it has to be at an attractive price to get anywhere. Otherwise, you'll need to know the buyer personally to stand any chance of getting what it's worth.
It's like a car that you just bought and pulled off the lot. It depreciates quickly...

The only person who can tell you that is someone who understands what you said and is willing to pay for it.
I have the impression that most of the "Askers" here are PC users, not programmers or techs - I know I am.
It is my opinion that you should rewrite an ad in more common language. If I were in the market for a PC, I would not stop at the ad as written above.
Hewlett Packard
Processor, name, at _____ hz speed
200G hard drive
Optical - don't know what that means
Windows what? 98, XP, Home or Professional
what is COA
Any software? I think you can leave it on, but can't give the CDs
Take into consideration your purchase price, length of time you used it ..... What would you pay for it? Start there.

A 5 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous query, yet continuously appropriate. in accordance with distinctive those different responses; end waiting. 9 out of 10 cases, there is not any "suited" time to bounce into procuring/development a working laptop or computing gadget. 3 months from once you purchase any ingredient, there'll be a much extra advantageous ingredient for the comparable cost. that's the character of the sport. The 10th time would be in case you hear of a clean technologies coming quickly that doesn't frequently see a bounce very in many cases; like Floppy/Tape/CD/DVD/Blu-ray, or 480/720p/1080p/1440p, and so on. or perhaps then, that's beneficial to attend a 300 and sixty 5 days after it first comes out for the bugs to be worked out in later variations. So possibly that is yet another reason to in basic terms bounce in and get what you may, at latest. yet in accordance with the OP: it comes right down to how cutting-area you go with to be at any given time. i'm low priced, so I take care of my desktops (blow them out, replace factors, and so on.), so as that they're going to final in many cases extra desirable than 10 years. although if, at 10 years there is a few million-2 generations (possibly extra?) of application that your unit will no longer help (i.e. my computing gadget helps as much as DirectX9, and DX12 has now been introduced). So for the final 3 years of that is existence, I shop in mind any classes/video games that i'm interested in, and notice how i think approximately them while i ultimately build that new beast. So for me, i'm delicate with the slightly bigger point of "destiny-proofing" that a $3000+ unit components. And lower back, $3000, plus possibly $500 in replace factors, over 10 years... properly, i'm able to budget 350 dollars a 300 and sixty 5 days ($6.seventy 3 per paycheck) right into a fee reductions account, spend a pair months gaining knowledge of what each and all the recent technologies is and what's coming down the pipe, and then make an recommended determination; understanding I even have the money to attain this. yet that is my convenience point. Doing it this way additionally facilitates you time to get to appreciate the quirks of your laptop, and navigate them extra advantageous over the long-term. once you're upgrading each and every 3 years, you're spending distinctive your existence gaining knowledge of what your new factors can and would't do by trial and mistake.

"It's like a car that you just bought and pulled off the lot. It depreciates quickly... "
Cars can actually hold their value or increase. Computers sink like a rock. Computer technology is replaced on average every 4 months and prices go down every 3 months to keep inventory on the move.
Your computer has good specs and it should stay in the mid- upper bracket of prices (for similar specs) for a while, but not too long... As soon as Vista comes out, your computer will be deemed old.

Tough to say because the warranty which you mention is key to a new buyer.
Since you don't include a monitor you would have a hard time getting 350.00. I'd say 275/350 because you can get a genuine Intel new from Dell.
