My husband and I are trying to conceive a baby again and was just curious if the position when you conceive has anything to do with the sex of the baby. If you don't mind answering, were you or your husband on top when you conceived and what sex is your child(ren)?

It is true that that the husband carries both chromozomes , altough, I read once an article about this. According to that sperms carrying male chrmzms are faster, but die off quickly and those with female chrmzms move much slower, but can survive longer (even few days waiting for that egg). So there are certain thing you can do to increase your chances having boy or girl, but it's not by much really (I think it was 10%increase or so....). Like sex before ovulation so it has to wait for the egg ( more likely a girl), choose a position when you feel your husband get really deep in you and you have orgasm (your cervix opens little bit during orgasm to make it easier for sperm to get in there) either little bit before or at the same time as your husband (more for a boy),.... anything combining how fast they travel and how long they live - logicaly you can find out more ways ... no guarantees though, you know that, right.

Actual sex can be determined by the previous children you have. The first child is 50/50...the second is 50/50 but if the first two were the same sex then the odds go up a lot but if the first two are of different sexes then the odds are still 50/50

My stats teacher would be so proud to know I stayed awake the day he mentioned that in class.

That is an old wives tale. The husband carries the gene that determines the babies sex. It just depends on what gene the particular sperm that fertilizes the egg has. There is no position or month or time of the day that will guarantee either sex. just be happy with what God gives you.

The position will not help determine the sex of any child. It's always 50/50 during the time of creation.

Honestly the position/how you have sex has nothing to do with the gender of the baby. My husband and I did it any way we liked and we came out with a boy.

i am a 29 yr old mom with a 9yr old boy. the sex position does not matter. that is a myth. women carry only Y chromosomes which means girl. men carry XY which means boy. If the male releases an X then you will have a boy. if he releases a Y then you will have a girl. Don't get caught up. it's all on the male.

the sex of your child is determined by his chromosomes. the position you are in has nothing to do with it. but i was on top and we have a son. Good Luck!!!
